# Simple pricing: pay as you go, or a plan with up to 150% more

Source page: https://excessionlabs.ai/blog/simple-pricing/

You pay in US dollars, per token. Add funds from $0.50, or pick a monthly plan that gives you 50% to 150% more plan credit than you pay. There is no access review.

Plan credit pays for API requests and for Incursion by Excession Labs, the terminal agent. Without a plan, [add funds in Billing](https://excessionlabs.ai/login?next=%2Fapp%2Fbilling%23add-funds), then [create an API key](https://excessionlabs.ai/app/keys). API keys and Incursion share one Excession account, one plan credit and one balance.

## One set of prices

Pay as you go and plans use the same per-token prices for each model. All amounts are USD per million tokens; output includes reasoning:

| Model | Input | Cached input | Output |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash | $0.035 | $0.005 | $0.50 |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Abliterated | $0.20 | $0.025 | $0.80 |

For example, 100M input tokens with half cached, plus 10M output tokens, cost $7.00 on regular DeepSeek V4.1 Flash or $19.25 on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Abliterated. The calculator on the [API page](https://excessionlabs.ai/api#cost) does this for your numbers.

## Pay as you go

Add funds from $0.50 to $1,000 by card or crypto. The money becomes your balance in US dollars, 1:1. Crypto is for adding funds only, not for plans. Your balance does not expire while your account is open, including after you cancel a plan. Incursion and the API both work on balance alone.

## Plans: 50% to 150% more plan credit

A plan gives monthly plan credit worth more than its price, and larger plans add a larger share:

| Plan | You pay per month | Plan credit per month | Extra |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | $20 | $30 | +50% |
| Pro | $100 | $175 | +75% |
| Max | $200 | $400 | +100% |
| Ultra | $500 | $1,250 | +150% |

Unused plan credit ends at renewal. Each plan covers one person. Plans are billed monthly in advance by card. An upgrade charges the prorated difference at once and adds plan credit for it. A downgrade starts at renewal. You can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the paid month.

Plan credit pays for tokens at the prices above, so a plan lowers your price per token. Ultra gives $1,250 of plan credit for $500. If you use all of it before renewal, you pay 40% of the list price:

| Model | You pay | Input | Cached input | Output |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash | Pay as you go | $0.035 | $0.005 | $0.50 |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash | Ultra, all plan credit used | $0.014 | $0.002 | $0.20 |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Abliterated | Pay as you go | $0.20 | $0.025 | $0.80 |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Abliterated | Ultra, all plan credit used | $0.08 | $0.01 | $0.32 |

## Plan credit first, then balance

Requests use plan credit first, then your balance. "Available" is remaining plan credit plus spendable balance, after reservations for requests in progress. While a plan is active, balance counts only when balance use is on. Without an active plan, your balance is spendable regardless of that setting. The "Use balance after plan credit" setting is on by default. Turn it off in Billing if you want requests to stop when plan credit runs out. From the terminal:

```
excession whoami                      # plan credit, balance and available
excession billing --use-balance off   # stop when plan credit is used up
```

## You see each charge

- Usage in the console lists each request, its cost, and whether plan credit or balance paid.
- Non-streaming API responses carry an `X-Cost-Usd` header.
- The console and Incursion warn you at 80% and 95% of plan credit, and when funds are low. A low-funds email goes out below a limit you set (default $5).
- When funds are too low, the API returns HTTP 402 with the numbers. It never returns 429 for money.

## Invite a friend

Share your referral link from the console, or run `excession invite`. The person you invite gets 10% of their first payment as balance, once. When that payment clears, you get a balance reward that depends on what they bought:

| Their first payment | They get, once | You get |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Add funds, for example $50 | $5.00 | $10.00 |
| Starter, $20 | $2.00 | $10.00 |
| Pro, $100 | $10.00 | $15.00 |
| Max, $200 | $20.00 | $25.00 |
| Ultra, $500 | $50.00 | $50.00 |

## No access review

Sign in by email code or with a social login. Every new account gets $5 API credit once, with no card required. Use it for your first requests, then add funds from $0.50 or pick a plan. Using the service means that you accept the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://excessionlabs.ai/aup/).
